In early June, we had the privilege of designing florals for a beautiful wedding weekend at the Broadmoor Hotel, where the spirit of Italy’s Lake Como infused every detail. This breathtaking celebration, set against the elegant backdrop of the Broadmoor, was an unforgettable experience for both the guests and our team.
The festivities began with an intimate rehearsal dinner on the Broadmoor’s Mountain View Terrace. As guests gathered, soft bistro lights cast a warm glow over the terrace, creating an enchanting ambiance. Long tables were adorned with floral arrangements that intertwined with candles, setting the perfect mood. At the heart of the terrace, a large fountain overflowed with cascading greenery and lush white blooms, serving as both a captivating focal point and a picturesque backdrop for guest photos.
The next day, the bride walked down the aisle in an exquisite lace dress, carrying a romantic bouquet of white peonies, ranunculus, garden roses, and delicate tweedia. Her bridesmaids, dressed in elegant sage-colored gowns, complemented her beautifully with their smaller, matching bouquets.
The ceremony took place on the Lakeside Terrace, a setting that captured the Italian-inspired theme with sophistication and charm. At the ends of the aisle, we designed two grand floral arches—one at the back and another framing the altar. Overflowing with lush greenery and white blooms, these arches created a dreamy setting for the couple to exchange vows. White planters filled with similar floral arrangements lined the aisle, guiding the bride’s way to her soon-to-be husband.
After a cocktail hour on the terrace, guests moved into the Lake Dining Room for the reception, greeted by a floral arch at the entrance. Inside, we arranged long tables that offered an intimate, family-style dining experience, reminiscent of a traditional Italian gathering. Each table was adorned with lush, overflowing arrangements of peonies, ranunculus, garden roses, sweet pea, and textural greenery. Gold candlesticks with taper candles added a touch of warmth and elegance, enhancing the candlelit ambiance.
The head table was a vision of sophistication, draped in green and white floral print linen and framed by chandeliers adorned with delicate white flowers. Each place setting featured custom embroidered green velvet bows, adding a personal and luxurious touch.
From the lush floral arrangements to the elegant decor and the romantic setting, this Lake Como-inspired wedding at the Broadmoor was a true celebration of love and beauty. We’re so grateful to have played a role in bringing the couple’s Italian-inspired dream to life, creating a magical experience for them and their guests to cherish forever.
