A Bridgerton-Inspired June Wedding at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs
/June at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs feels like something out of a dream—a timeless setting surrounded by majestic mountain views, lush gardens, and classic architecture. When our couple shared their vision of a Bridgerton-inspired wedding, we knew it would be a celebration of romance, elegance, and abundant florals. Every detail was carefully considered to evoke a sense of Regency-era sophistication, paired with the natural beauty of Colorado.
The Bridal Party: A Symphony of Soft Hues and Lush Blooms
The bride carried a bouquet that epitomized June’s floral splendor: an armful of pristine white peonies, delicate garden roses, fluttering ranunculus, and touches of sky-blue tweedia. Each bloom was selected to evoke softness, fragrance, and timeless beauty.
The bridesmaids, dressed in flowing dusty blue gowns embroidered with delicate floral patterns, carried blush peony bouquets that perfectly complemented their attire. These bouquets were intentionally simple yet lush, allowing the natural beauty of each bloom to shine.
Adding to the charm were the three sweetest flower girls, each adorned with halos of blush spray roses and ranunculus. They carried petite nosegay-style bouquets of blush tulips—a dainty and precious detail that felt straight from the pages of a romantic novel.
The Ceremony: St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral
The couple exchanged vows at the breathtaking St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral. This historic space, already brimming with grandeur, was further transformed with a lined aisle of towering delphiniums. Their delicate petals added height and softness to the cathedral’s regal interior.
At the start of the aisle, two urn arrangements stood proudly on ornate stands, adorned with custom embroidered banners welcoming guests. These arrangements featured an abundance of pastel blooms, echoing the ceremony’s romantic palette.
It was a ceremony filled with reverence, beauty, and heartfelt emotion—an unforgettable beginning to their marriage.
Cocktail Hour on the Lake Terrace
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to the Lake Terrace at The Broadmoor, where they enjoyed refreshing cocktails under the warm June sun. The terrace offered sweeping views of the lake and surrounding mountains, providing the perfect backdrop for mingling and laughter.
The soft sounds of live music floated through the air as guests admired the floral details scattered throughout the space, hinting at the beauty awaiting them inside the reception hall.
A Romantic Reception in the Lake Terrace Dining Room
Stepping into the Lake Terrace Dining Room, guests were greeted by a magnificent display: the repurposed urns and aisle arrangements from the cathedral elegantly framed a large mirror, which displayed the seating chart. This thoughtful reuse of florals not only added cohesion to the design but also brought an air of grandeur to the reception entrance.
The bride and groom, along with their bridal party, were seated at a stunning long head table featuring an elevated floral runner. Cascading arrangements of pastel blooms, including peonies, roses, and delphiniums, created a garden-like effect. Gold taper candle holders added a warm, romantic glow, perfectly accentuating the floral details.
Surrounding round tables featured lush, garden-inspired centerpieces, with seasonal blooms artfully arranged to create a sense of natural abundance and effortless beauty.
The Show-Stopping Wedding Cake
One of the most enchanting moments of the evening was the reveal of the wedding cake. Positioned in the Fountain Room, the cake was framed by a lush floral arch that created a breathtaking focal point. Set atop a French Provincial-style table, the white cake was delicately adorned with fresh blooms, blending seamlessly into its floral surroundings.
It was not just a dessert but a work of art—one that captured the romantic essence of the entire day.
An Evening to Remember
From the breathtaking ceremony to the elegantly adorned reception, every detail of this Bridgerton-inspired wedding at The Broadmoor spoke to timeless romance and thoughtful design. The lush florals, soft color palette, and enchanting details came together to create a celebration that felt both grand and deeply personal.
